Riolo Terme is famous for its historical, environmental, food and wine riches, and particularly for its precious spa waters, the therapeutic properties of which were known way back in Roman times. The town offers numerous attractions, spanning from art, with shows and exhibitions, to food and wine, with festivals and fêtes dedicated to local products.

There are numerous activities on offer for sports enthusiasts and nature lovers: from the golf course to the water park, and the many itineraries that wind through the “Vena del Gesso Romagnola” Park, a unique environment, rich in chalk, ridges, slopes and numerous vegetable and animal species. The nature trails include the Corolla delle Ginestre, a 60 km circular itinerary which can be travelled on foot, mountain bike or horseback.

The Spa Facility, which is in perfect Art- Nouveau style, is set in a park populated by age-old trees and offers avant-garde treatments, natural remedies, beauty and rehabilitation treatments, all within the delightful atmosphere provided by the hotels, restaurants and shops.

Not to be missed

The town is overlooked by the impressive Rocca Sforzesca, a fortress built in 1388, which has been home to the “Museum of the Faenza Apennine Landscape” since 2005; it hosts shows and exhibitions, musical programmes, film shows, historical, cultural and gastronomic meetings, with the possibility of guided tours and creative workshops.

The "Golf Club La Torre" , a golf course with 18 holes set in an area of 200 hectares, against a background of breathtaking canyons and gently rolling hills; Acqualand Water Park with swimming pools, water games and slides, is the ideal place for spending hot summer days.
