This page describes the methods for managing the website with regards the processing of personal data of website users. The information is only offered for the website http://www.emiliaromagnaterme.it and not for other websites that can be consulted by users via links. The information also refers to Recommendation no. 2/2001 issued by the European authorities to protect personal data, reunited in a group constituted by Art. 29 of directive no. 95/46/EC, adopted on 17 May 2001 to define some minimum requisites for the collection of personal data online and in particular, the methods, timescale and nature of information that data processors must provide users when the latter connect to web pages, regardless of the reason for connection.
DATA PROCESSOR
Following consultation of this website, data regarding people identified or identifiable may be processed. The “processor” of this data is the Thermal Product Union Association.
LOCATION OF DATA PROCESSING
Processing of data connected to the web services of this site takes place at the offices of the Thermal Product Union Association and are only handled by the expert personnel of the office entrusted with data processing or by those entrusted with periodical maintenance operations. No data deriving from the web service will be communicated or diffused to others. The personal data provided by users who request information (newsletters, documents, replies to questions, etc.) are only used to provide the service requested and are only communicated to third parties if necessary to fulfil this purpose.
SURFING DATA
During normal functioning, IT systems and software procedures designed to operate this website acquire some personal data whose transmission is implicit in the use of Internet communication protocols. This is information that is not collected in order to be associated with identified parties, but that by its very nature could, through processing and associations with data held by third parties, make it possible to identify users. This category of data includes IP addresses or domain names of the computers used by users to connect to the website, URI (Uniform Resource Identifier) identifying addresses of the resources requested, the time of the request, the method used to send the request to the server, the size of the file obtained in reply, the numerical code indicating the state of the reply given by the server (sent, error, etc.) and other parameters regarding the operating system and the user data processing environment. This data is used only for the purpose of extracting anonymous statistical data on website use in order to check its correct functioning and is immediately cancelled after processing. The data could be used to ascertain responsibility in the event of possible information technology crimes against the website. With this exception, at the moment, data on web contacts is not kept for more than seven days.
DATA PROVIDED VOLUNTARILY BY THE USER
The optional, explicit and voluntary sending of electronic mail to the addresses indicated on this website implies the subsequent acquisition of the address of the sender, necessary in order to reply to the request, as well as any other personal data included in the message. Specific summary information will be progressively indicated or visualized on the website pages for particular services requested.
COOKIES
No user personal data is intentionally acquired by the website. Cookies are not used to transmit information of a personal nature nor are so-called persistent cookies of any nature in other words systems for tracing users, used. The use of so-called session cookies (that are not memorized in a permanent manner on the user’s computer and disappear upon closing the browser) is strictly limited to the transmission of session user ID (constituted by casual numbers generated by the server) necessary in order to permit safe and efficient exploration of the website. The so-called session cookies used in this website avoid the use other information techniques that potentially prejudice the privacy of users surfing it and do not permit the acquisition of user personal identification data.
OPTIONAL NATURE OF PROVIDING DATA
Apart from what has been specified for surfing data, the user is free to provide the personal data provided in the request forms to the data controller or those indicated in contacts with the office in order to request the sending of information material or any other communication. Failure to provide this data may imply the impossibility to obtain what has been requested.
Please also note that in some cases (not the object of ordinary management of this website), the authorities can request news and information, in compliance with Art. 157 of Legislative Decree no. 196/2003, in order to check the processing of personal data. In these cases, a reply is compulsory otherwise a penalty will apply.
PROCESSING METHOD
All personal data is processed using automated tools for the period of time strictly necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected. Specific security measures are complied with in order to prevent the loss of data or its illicit or incorrect use and unauthorised access.
RIGHTS OF THE INTERESTED PARTY
The subjects the personal data refers to have the right, at any time, to obtain confirmation of the existence or otherwise of the aforementioned data and to know its content and origin, check its correctness and request integrations, updates or corrections (Art. 7 of Legislative Decree no. 196/2003). In compliance with the same article, the interested party has the right to request the cancellation, transformation into anonymous form or blocking of any data processed in breach of the law, as well as to object in any case and for legitimate reasons to its processing. Requests should be made directly to the Thermal Product Union Association.
