Three and a half million spa resort catalogues distributed with Esselunga in central and northern Italy

A massive marketing programme for the spa centres of Emilia Romagna – Three and a half million catalogues for Emilia Romagna’s spa resorts currently being distributed in central and northern Italy – Wellness holidays included in the supermarket chain’s "Fidaty" gift catalogues – Esselunga stores are located in areas considered strategic for our spa resorts: 81 in Lombardy, 28 in Tuscany, 10 in Emilia, 8 in Piedmont, 2 in Veneto, 1 in Liguria

Rimini, 04/12/2008: Three and a half million catalogues for Emilia Romagna’s spa resorts will end up in the homes of just as many families of central and northern Italy, resident in Lombardy, Piedmont, Veneto, Liguria, Tuscany and Emilia Romagna. With this strategic marketing operation, wellness holidays at Emilia Romagna’s spa resorts now appear in the new 2008/2009 gift catalogue of the Esselunga supermarket chain. In amongst the pages of the Fidaty pages promoting sets of glassware and freezers, there are also ten wellness days to be spent at various spa centres of Emilia Romagna. The project was launched by Apt Servizi and the Spas, Health and Wellness Product Association of Emilia Romagna. “The choice of Esselunga was by no means casual,” as Andrea Babbi, Managing Director of Apt Servizi tells us. “The Esselunga supermarket chain is one of the most important of central and northern Italy, considered to be strategic for the market of Emilia Romagna’s spa resorts. Esselunga has three and a half million customers, and a presence of 81 stores in Lombardy, 28 in Tuscany, 10 in Emilia, 8 in Piedmont, 2 in Veneto and 1 in Liguria. And given the great number of catalogues printed, we also took this great opportunity to advertise our www.visitemiliaromagna.com portal as well, where holidays and accommodation can be booked by credit card for the whole of Emilia Romagna.” The Fidaty catalogue dedicates two whole colour pages to the spa resorts of Emilia Romagna. “And for everyone who wants to find out more,” adds Maurizio Fussi, President of the Spas, Health and Wellness Product Association, “an extra catalogue has also been published, a wellness special dedicated totally to spa centres, with 500,000 copies printed for distribution to interested customers.” But that’s not all, because the promotion will be backed up by an exchange of links, and visitors to the Esselunga website (www.esselunga.it) will find a link that takes them directly to www.visitemiliaromagna.com and from there to the spa resorts site. Special promotional events are also planned in several shopping malls, and the first of these in Milan and the surrounding areas were greeted with great interest by the public.
